Post 5: Changes to my Study Programme.

I’ve been studying at University of Chile since 2019, even if I put on hold my Art career from 2021 to 2022, I would change several things. First of all, the infrastructure is the most basic and obvious problem, I don’t know if the Dean has been trying to prepare us for bad conditions or something (not funny at all), but the buildings are embarrassing and some of them are literally falling in pieces. Students doesn’t have enough chairs, tables or easels and we have to work in small and awful places. About the curriculum, I think it would worked better if students had a multidisciplinary course in common. This way students of music, drama, visual arts and dance could have the opportunity to share opinions, knowledge, and meeting classmates. Okay, this is just my point of view, but I hate when teachers assume that we know everything. We’re studying for a reason, right? To learn. I would like to paint but I haven’t painted before and I can’t be in that kind of subject beca...

Post 4: Time travel to the future.

Imagen
I’m a huge fan of both time travel movies and books. I like to read about dystopian worlds and future societies, travel back in time to see either mysterious events or change the past for a new present. Of course, I like it as a fictional glance. I’m the kind of person who concentrates in my own present and it is hard for me thinking travel in time without logic. First of all, I wouldn't go to the future, it doesn't excited me at all.  I’m afraid go back in time would be very complex. The butterfly effect traumatized me haha. I’m sure every little thing I touch or change will cause a big alteration. Have you ever seen “A Sound of Thunder”? it’s a science fiction movie based on Ray Bradbury’s short story. The film narrates the death of a prehistorical butterfly and how it changes the whole evolution of the planet. So yes, I think that could happen haha. However, as we're talking about an imaginary trip, I would like to go back and watch how Egyptian made...

Post 3: My dream job.

I try to be sincere everytime I describe my experiences and feelings  cause I am convinced this can be a safe space to be open about what I think or feel.  This time I’m going to talk about something I’ve been deeling for a while and the effort is quite big for me. I’m 24 years old but I have no idea of what I want to do with my life yet. I feel very lost about a lot of things. I have been processing both personal issues and thoughts. I still don’t know   my dream job. I’m studying Art and I enjoy it. I feel a huge passion learning everyday and doing new things. I would like having visual art in my life till the end   but I’m not sure if it can be my world. Sometimes I feel like I don’t belong there. I often feel overwhelmed because of that matter, but at the same time I attempt to be pacient with my own self and give me the time to choose. There are many things I like and I wish I could learn   and study my whole life. However, I’m aware of my respon...

Post 2: The Best Concert

Imagen
Mmmh this kind of topic is a little difficult to me. I like a lot of different genres of music such as rock, punk, pop, j-rock, indie, trap, instrumental, and other types of music I can’t even  describe. I attended a concert many years ago, but the experience wasn’t really good. I’m autistic so I am constantly struggling with my sensory issues; noises, crowns, and lights can be really problematic and exhausting for me. However , I would love to see my favorite bands on tour someday but the opportunity doesn’t come yet. Well, that it’s not the point, I do remember a kind of concert with so much love, and I guess  this is not the typical response, but just for you to know I love classical music and I often go to the Regional Theater to listening to the Symphonic Orchestra  or musicians. And as I said before I’m a huge fan of Studio Ghibli, and guess what? THEY MADE A CONCERT OF THE MOVIES’ SOUNDTRACK. Spoiler: it was wonderful.          ...

Post 1: A country I would like to visit.

Imagen
Hi, I'm Alex. Wow, to be honest I would love to visit a lot of different countries at least one time in my life. However, one of my special interest is Japan and its culture. It is my dream go there since I was a child. Actually, last year I decided to go like there's no other option, even if it takes me years. I think Japan it's a country like nowhere else, a society that puts together tradition and modernity. I really love the fascinating culture and folklore. I like the language, the architecture, the history, and the people's traditions too. What about food? YES PLEASE. Japan is for me a totally different world. I believe is a new world with an old soul. It's beautiful. It's a country that connect art, economy, religion, traditions, family, and nature to all dimensions of life.      I'm not sure if I'd rather go in Spring to see the cherry blossoms or spent hours contemplating the progress of the Autumn's vivid colors across the country.  I wan...
